12 Last Minute Stocking Stuffer Ideas (& cheap too)!

Not to scare you, friends, but just a friendly reminder that we’re coming up on the last weekend for Christmas shopping!  Have you crossed everything off your list?  What about those stocking stuffers?  I don’t know about you, but stocking stuffers tend to be the last thing I remember to grab, so to help you out, I put together a list of 12 inexpensive items that you can grab at most local stores, so grabbing them last minute will be a breeze!

Confession…I only have ideas for the ladies on our list.  I was going to put together a guy’s list as well, but I really suck at buying guy gifts!  Just keeping it real, folks! (thank goodness I’m single this year!)

Soooo….if you have a sister, mom, daughter (at least a teenager), or best friend to finish shopping for, these should come in handy (these also work well for last minute co-worker gifts!).

I don’t know about you, but when I think stocking stuffers, I think of items that tend to be smaller and relatively inexpensive.  For me, that means under $10, but I could go up to $15 if I really thought it was something they would like to receive.  Therefore, everything on this list is under $15 with most items falling under the $10 range!

  1. Lip Balm Gift Set ($10-$15):  Because a girl can never have too many lip balms lying around, especially right in the heart of winter!
  2. Body Shop Body Butter ($6 for the mini/travel sized):  The full size body butters tend to sell for about $20, but they do have travel sized ones for the under $10 range!  I LOOOOVEEEE these body butters and have used them for years!  I don’t think most girls will resist these during the dry, winter months.
  3. A Cute Makeup bag ($16.99): I don’t think it’s possible to have too many cute makeup bags.  I’m sure some will disagree, but if you’re gift recipient is anything like me, get yourself to Target and check out the Orla Kiely range of bags…they’re super functional and incredibly cute!!  It is a tad over my $15 max for stocking stuffers, but these are so cute that I could make an exception for this one ;)!
  4. Sephora Formula X Pods ($15): I’ve already sung the praises of this brand of nail polish and if you have a polish lover on your list, this little set gives you seven different polishes to try out.  There’s just enough polish for two coats!
  5. A Nice Hand Cream ($6): While you’re at the Body Shop picking up the body butter, don’t forget grabbing a tube of nice hand cream that she can toss in her cute new makeup bag!  The Body Shop’s line of creams are fantastic for winter dryness!!
  6. Staedtler pens ($10.69): I love pens, and if you have a pen lover to buy for, this set is fantastic!  I have it and love it (especially the case that keeps them all organized and protected!).  You can find these at Staples and they’re very reasonably priced for a full set of colorful pens!
  7. Washi Tape ($7.99):  Washi tape used to be used exclusively by crafters when it first made it’s appearance her in the States.  But, now, even non-crafty girls are itching for these pretty paper tapes.  They make it a breeze go pretty up anything from notebooks, to vases, to cell phone cases!  And you can find them in any color and pattern your heart could desire!
  8. Hair Ties (under $10):  If your girl has long hair, just go ahead and grab a few packs of these, okay?  You can never have enough hair ties when you have long hair!  I have so many of these types of ties, but would be thrilled to get more!
  9. Travel Makeup Brush Set ($9.99): I have this travel set and LOVE it! It’s small and easy to carry on a trip or even in her pretty new makeup bag each day!  You can find these at Target and most beauty supply stores.
  10. Statement {Costume} Jewelry (under $15):  I, personally, don’t know any girls that wouldn’t love a beautiful new bracelet, necklace, or earrings in her stocking!  And no…it doesn’t have to break the bank!  Check out places like Target for some awesome statement pieces for under $15.
  11.  Make something!  Put your crafty hat on, do a quick search on Pinterest and make something for your girl!
  12.  Gift card:  While I generally don’t like the impersonal nature of gift cards, they do make good gifts.  If you had a certain amount in mind to spend on your girl, but don’t want to spend the rest on more stuff, a small gift card to her favorite store is always a nice touch.

That’s it folks!  I hope you enjoyed my list of last minute stocking stuffer ideas that won’t break the bank!  Since these are so relatively inexpensive, you can also pick up one or two for yourself as a little holiday treat!  I won’t tell…it’ll be our little secret!

I hear you! I can’t even think of what to get guys for their stockings. I can probably come up with specifics for someone that I know, but just a general list…ummmm….LOL. I hear you on the jewelry. I really need to find a way to better organize my jewelry since I tend to not be able to pass up cute pieces! :)

Thanks Rose!! I know, right? I realized when I was writing this up that since my readers are women, they really need lists for men, too, and I tried, but man oh man, it’s so much easier to come up with fun things for girls!! LOL
