June Faves & July Plans

It’s that time again, folks! The first of the month around these parts means looking back on the previous month and looking ahead to the next month.  It’s a great time to check in on goals and see what posts you guys loved.  It’s also fun to share what’s on my list of things to get done in July!

To keep myself accountable and because you guys seem to like taking a peek at what’s on my plate, I share those goals and how I did…every single month!

June kept me busy!  There was a lot going on and it seemed to FLY by!  I can’t believe we’re 1/2 way through 2015.  In no time at all, we’ll be wrapping up Christmas presents and sipping hot chocolate while bundled up in a hat and scarf!

But, let’s not rush things and let’s definitely enjoy the summer, so with that said, let’s take a look at how things went, shall we?

Here’s what you were loving…

It’s always fun to look back and see which posts people liked best.  These were the four top posts that I published last month, so if you missed one, be sure to check them out!

How’d I do on my June goals?

For a little over a month, I’ve been working countless hours to get my brand new website up and running.  It’ll have a new name, a new look, a new brand, and a much more exciting future!

But…it’s been a LOT of work…and I’m still not done :).  It’s getting there though!  So, my success | fail ratio this month looks pretty dismal, but trust me, I wasn’t sitting around eating bon-bons or lounging on a beach!

 Blogging Goals  | Rebrand & Relaunch my Website {FAIL}
Last month, I said that I hoped to have my new site ready to launch by July 1.  As you can see, that didn’t quite happen!  I did say it’d be a long shot though.  I have my design done, I’m now working on some new content for the site and I’m about a week or two from having that finalized.  But, I still have to import and clean up all of my posts from this site to keep the content, but strip away the ‘Random Little Faves’ name and branding and inject my new site’s name and branding!  Sigh…it’s a lot of work, but I’m SO excited about it!  It’ll be a much better fit for my content and will set the stage for growing this into something more!

 Blogging Goals  | Get my first e-Course Ready! {FAIL}
I mentioned last month that this will open for registration after my new site goes live and that is still the plan.  Since my new site is still in the works, guess what…my e-Course is still in the works!  But, I can promise that when my new site goes live, there will be an awesome About page specifically on the course that will give you tons of info and allow you to sign up for the VIP list to be the first to know when registration opens, to get early access to registration (I’m going to limit the number of seats in this first run!), and an exclusive VIP discount!

 Home Goals  | More de-Cluttering {FAIL}
Eh…I didn’t get too much done on this because of all the work on my new website (and it’s summer…so…breaks in my website work had me going outside instead of staying in and cleaning out closets!!).

 Healthy Goals  | Keep Going {SUCCESS}
SUCCESS!!  I had a bit of a bumpy start in June, but halfway through the month, I had a serious talking to myself (I’m not kidding…I really did!) and made it a priority to work in workout times even though I’m busy with my website.  I gave myself a little kick in the butt, you might say, and it worked.  I have been working out 5 days a week and making smarter food choices since then.

 Fun Goals  | Random Stuff! {SUCCESS}
I did manage to sneak in some fun stuff this month!  I spent a Saturday at the Bronx Zoo, I binged watched Orange is the New Black, and had several dinners out with several different girlfriends (which is always a good time!)!

My Plans for July

I’m going to sound like I’m on repeat, but my goals for this month are basically the same as last month since I need to keep the momentum going to get things done!!  I’m going to leave the ‘healthy’ goals off, though, since that has now become a part of my schedule and I don’t need to ‘work towards’ that as a goal, I just need to keep on going.

Other than that, I’m keeping the rest of my plate pretty light so I can hunker down and get my website done!

 Blogging Goals  | Rebrand & Relaunch my Website
Yep…it’s still on my list and I definitely should be able to get this launched in some fashion this month!!  I will likely have to take a week off from blogging to have time to clean up my old posts and get the final touches done, but I will let you know when that happens.

  Blogging Goals  | Get my first e-Course Ready!
As soon as my new site goes live, I’m diving into getting this wrapped up so I can launch registration!  I’ll likely have more details on this with next month’s check-in!

Your turn, friends! What are YOUR goals for July? I’d love to hear all about them, so leave me some comments below and let’s chat it out!

    Great goals! I’m aslo working on a new website and it’s a lot of work! But I have so much fun doing it! Can’t wait to see your new site!

      Thanks, Emilie!! I can’t wait to see your new site :)…I keep telling myself that as time consuming as it is right now to create the new site, it’s just temporary and definitely the right path (which definitely helps when it’s after midnight and I’m toiling away, lol). Good luck getting yours hooked up and ready to go!

    Good luck with completing your July goals – I think its great that you made them in June and have that on the horizon for things to accomplish. You cant do everything overnight (even though that would kinda be amazing if it were possible!)… I also am doing the healthy thing now and use my FitBit regularly. I am over 10,000 steps a day (the recommended amount) and its HARD to get to that number but its my healthy goal. :) xx, Karen // Glam Karen

      Thanks Karen! It would be so nice if we could get everything done overnight, right?! lol. I am SO impressed with your 10,000+ steps per day!! Good for you…that is fantastic!!! :) I use my fitbit daily too (ever since getting one of those Bezel & Bytes bracelets you reviewed!) and my daily target is 7500. My office/desk job makes it so hard to go higher than that, but I’ve been hitting it lately (thanks to my gym time!).

      Seriously, right?! And it’s like…you go into it knowing it’s going to be a lot of work, but it’s not until you’re fully in that you realize exactly how much and then it’s a tad overwhelming, lol. All in good time though :). Good luck with your changes as well!!
