If you’ve been long time reader of my blog, it’ll come as no surprise that I’m a lover of notebooks and planners. Recently, I discovered yet another notebook that made me all warm and tingly! As soon as I saw it, I knew that I HAD TO HAVE it! It was one of those drop-everything-I-was-doing and FIND THAT NOTEBOOK! Within an hour, I had it ordered and within a few days, I had it in my hot little hands. And folks, it’s a total love affair. Allow me to introduce you to my new best friend…the Midori Traveler’s Notebook!
What’s so special about a wristlet, you might be asking! I mean, is there really anything so special about a wristlet that it deserves it’s own writeup? When it comes to this particular one…yes! Not only is this wristlet a gorgeous, soft leather, but it’s big enough for all the essentials (including your phone). But, that’s not the best part. The best little secret about this wristlet….it contains a backup battery to CHARGE YOUR PHONE on the go!!
This past weekend, I met up with my brother and some friends in New Orleans for a fun filled weekend! On Monday, I shared the first part of my review of the trip by introducing you to some wonderful restaurants to add to your ‘must eat’ list as well as a peek at the hotel we stayed in (and LOVED). Today, I’m back with a list of fun (and in some cases free!) things to do if you find yourself in the Big Easy anytime soon!
This past weekend I headed down to New Orleans for a fun weekend with one of my good friends. My brother and one of his good friends also heading down for the weekend. Our main objective…the Georgia Tech – Tulane football game on Saturday! Since we had such fun, I wanted to provide a New Orleans travel review in case you’re heading that way any time soon!
Before I launch into any posts/reviews on places I stayed or visited on my recent trip to Costa Rica, I thought I’d start with sending a few shout outs to my favorite bags. These workhorses got me through my trip (and not just this trip!) carrying all my essentials, day to day things, souvenirs, and you could say…my sanity!
Alright ladies…are you a photographer that is tired of carrying your gear around in a black, boring bag? Or, have you tried the ‘purse’ camera bags only to be disappointed by the quality? Well, then allow me to introduce you to the Audrey-Lu camera bag by 3 Annies! It’s quite possibly the BEST camera bag for women!
Hello from snowy New England! It’s coming down today and we’re supposed to get 6-10 inches. This is on top of the 6-7″ we got on Monday (and I didn’t even know it was supposed to snow on Monday!!). While I’m getting to the point where I’m over all this snow, there is something very cozy about snuggling up in a blanket while it’s snowing outside :). While I’ll be working today (from home), if it were the weekend, this would be perfect weather to stay in and catch up on reading on my iPad! Today, I have my absolute FAVORITE and ‘must have’ accessory for my iPad.
Last week I was in Paris (well, just outside of Paris) for a work conference. Sounds glamorous, right? It’s not, trust me. I was in a hotel for the entire time. Sleeping, eating, and meetings all at the same place, so no sightseeing or shopping! It was long days of meetings and group dinners. Since I was going for such a short time (Sunday – Thursday), I knew I wanted to carry on my suitcase and not have to deal with checking a bag. That meant I was not only limited in the size of my suitcase, but I was also limited on the size of my products that I could take with me (darn you, 3 oz or less rule!!). Fortunately, I’ve found a few travel sized gems that make it much less of a hassle, so I wanted to share those with you! [Read more…]
I love makeup! I love mixing up different colors to get different looks, although I do tend to stay with a minimal look. I don’t have too many opportunities to rock a glam look! But, that doesn’t stop me from stocking up on new palettes and colors! The one thing I don’t like, though, is all the random compacts I end up with and trying to find a way to store them and access all of them. I don’t know about you, but I tend to get in a rut with one or two palettes because it’s easy to grab and go. To solve this problem, I’ve recently embraced the idea of ‘depotting’! [Read more…]
